“My vision is that the people I work with experience healing through connection to themselves, to the present moment, to the world around them & to life.”

I am a GP with a background in addictions work. I now have a number of different roles: NHS GP; Compassionate Inquiry Practitioner (Dr Gabor Maté’s psychotherapeutic approach); Maturation Coach; and psychedelic guide at Imperial College London. In my work I see how people’s ill health and suffering very often stems from disconnection. This may be a disconnection from our authentic selves, our bodies, our emotions, the present moment, the natural world, spirituality, or community. My work is to support people to connect back to themselves and to heal.

When we are disconnected we often struggle to find meaning & purpose in our lives, to stay healthy or to maintain fulfilling relationships. We may use substances to self soothe. We may notice harmful behaviour patterns that keep repeating, despite our best efforts . Or have negative beliefs about ourselves and strong inner critics.

I believe that, to really heal, symptom management or lifestyle/ behaviour change is not sufficient. To move forward, we need to dig down to the roots, to our early childhood experiences and the adaptations we made in order to survive. My work is to guide you inwards, to bring compassion and curiosity to all parts of yourself so that you can heal. I help you to bring awareness to body sensations and emotions arising in the present moment and to the beliefs and perceptions attached to these (that come from the past). This allows unconscious stories and patterns to emerge, helping you to shift your view and to experience a connection to your authentic self in the present moment. When this deep connection is present, we are free to make conscious choices about our lives and to live with more joy, gratitude, peace and fulfillment. We are all doing our very best but unless we can begin to see what was previously unseen in our lives, we are destined to remain stuck in old patterns and ways of seeing the world.

As a GP, I have worked mostly in areas of high deprivation, with patients living with significant childhood trauma, addictions, homelessness and ill health. I believe that health and wholeness is a possibility for every single person. It does not come in tablet form and it is not always quick or easy. It requires courage, commitment, a willingness to do the work and to connect- to ourselves, others and the world around us. With the right support, it is a journey that is exciting, challenging and fulfilling. I would love you to join me.
